Dining at L’Elephant, just off Nimmanhaemin Road, feels like enjoying a meal at the home of a quirky art collector. Walls are painted bright shades of blue and green, each displaying at least one piece of framed artwork. The charmingly decorated bistro serves French fare that will have you reminiscing about a trip to Paris. Think classics like melty French onion soup, pan-seared foie gras in Grand Marnier raspberry sauce and steak tartare. Head chef Pathapee Moonkonkaew has created both a three-course and five-course dinner menu along with a la carte options and a lunch menu. Though the dishes rotate, fresh, seasonal ingredients are constant. Here, the wine collection in the temperature-controlled cellar is vast, and each menu has a wine pairing option so oenophiles can sip happily. If you’re are looking for a more casual option, the brand has also opened Ooon Oon, a brasserie and patisserie where Thai flavours take centrestage, just down the road.
