The House by Ginger
Dine in the stylish quarters of this home-turned-cafe for amazing curries, fresh vegetables, and plenty of photogenic tipples. Here, Victorian-style velvet couches accent rooms plastered with floral wallpaper in bright pinks and golds. Dim lighting from paper lanterns adds to the coziness of the space, while fine china keeps up the posh undertones. On the menu, you’ll find Western comfort dishes like a creamy fettuccine Alfredo with truffle oil and a mean dry-rubbed rib eye steak with corn on the cob, but the dishes on the Thai menu are what we’d recommend visitors explore. Go for the beef cheek massaman curry and the very Instagrammable Ginger and Kafe mixed appetiser platter. Most of the produce and grains used in the kitchen comes from the owner’s nearby organic farm, and you’ll be able to taste the difference. Finish off your meal with a pot of lemongrass tea and a plate of succulent mango with coconut milk sweetened sticky rice.
